To celebrate the completion of the rehabilitation of the historic Ashburn Colored School, Loudoun School for Advanced Studies (LSAS) hosted a dedication ceremony on Saturday, September 16th.
This ceremony was an opportunity to honor the students, teachers, parents, and church community members whose resilience and vision ensured our community’s African American children would have access to education during segregation. The school building is a testament to the power of ordinary people working together to build a more just and hopeful world for the next generation.
